Susan Rubin, DMD, HHC
is the founder of Better School Food and has been active on the school food front for over a decade. Her holistic health practice focuses on supporting busy moms to create better health for themselves and their families. As the issues of childhood obesity and declining children's health have become epidemic, her work as a food expert and health educator has become critically important on a local and national level. Susan is one of the "Two Angry Moms" in the school lunch documentary film of the same name. She lives in Chappaqua, NY with her husband and three daughters.
Geri Brewster, RD, MPH, CDN

She has over 24 years of experience and maintains a private practice in Mount Kisco, NY. From the beginning of her career, Geri has had a specialization in pediatric nutrition, which often required involvement in school lunch programs. Her steadfast desire to see reform has paralleled the growth of the childhood obesity epidemic and increases in food allergies, learning disabilities, and children with special needs.
Lisa Alexander, CPA

She has several years of experience working with both small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Petra Dorfsman
brings a unique perspective to the BSF board, having been born and raised in the Netherlands. Issues around school food, sustainable agriculture and preserving the environment are critically important to her and motivate her work in improving school food in private schools in her region. A former student at the De Gustibus Cooking School in New York City, Petra was also employed as a pastry chef at a top local patisserie in Westchester County. Her business experience includes seven years with EMI Records and Saturday Night Live. Petra resides in Yorktown Heights, NY with her husband and daugher.
Judy Eisele, HHC
switched her career focus after the birth of her son. After almost two decades in the corporate banking world (the last several years as Vice President-Fixed Income Investor Marketing at Goldman Sachs), she is now a certified holistic health counselor, active member of the Wellness Committee in her school district, and gymnastics instructor to children at her local YWCA. Her commitment to healthy living inspires her work with BSF. She lives in White Plains with her husband and son.
Mary Ann Petrilena
has spent several years working with nonprofit groups involved in issues relating to children's health advocacy, education, the environment, and open space. Currently on sabbatical from the business world, she is dedicated full-time to raising her family and improving her community. Mary Ann is also on the board of the Katonah Lewisboro Wellness Council and The Lewisboro Land Trust which encourages preservation of open space and sustainable practices.
